The life sciences industry in Westchester, NY comprises academic institutes doing basic research, R&D startups, large manufacturers and supply chain participants, and related industry experts providing specialized consulting, financing, marketing and communications, and other important support services. Non-profit organizations are also located there, supporting patients and research into diseases and medical conditions ranging from alzheimer’s and autism, to brain injury, cancer, diabetes, leukemia, and more.
The heart of the life sciences ecosystem in Westchester is mid-County, where Regeneron, the Biotechnology Incubator at New York Medical College, the Touro College of Dental Medicine, and Westchester Medical Center are located. Digital health, drug development, and medical device companies can be found all around the County, as can critical support from world-class clinicians and healthcare organizations.
Deepening the life sciences industry is a priority for the County, building on the substantial footprint this industry already has in our local economy. Westchester is currently the largest life sciences cluster in New York State.
